Cesium tube details
Thu, Sep 10, 2009 6:42 PM
There were 35 of them and they all have the electrode on the top (or side for the FTS) for burning open the burst diaphragm. The only HP vintage I have not opened up is the 5071A/5061A/B mini small diameter tube. I will open one up within a week and take some PIX as well as PIX of opening up the oven.

You could try powering it up and checking its telemetry with the Monitor3 program available on the Symmetricom website. If it's like mine, after it's fully warmed up, the "DAC gain" and "numeric gain" will be maxed out, and there will be a bunch of alarm codes. One of them will be alarm 11.

[Ontbirds]Long Point, Port Dover - Waterfowl including swans
Sun, Mar 23, 2008 1:50 AM
Lots of visitors, die-hard birders but also families with children, came to see the swans. Just for an added bonus, some of us were thrilled to see and hear (like a screechy trumpet) three or four Sandhill Cranes during the noon hour. Buffleheads and Canvasbacks ducks could be seen from the bridge.

You could try one of the binaries from the examples supplied with uhd, for example rx_samples_to_udp,or _to_file and see if it runs without a GUI on top for the desired amount of time (warning: 15 minutes of 8Msam/s will be around 29 GB, so make sure you're not filling up your SSD inadvertently).

Also I'm not sure whether you meant that the bowden tube needed to be threaded with a die, but just to confirm, I did not use one. I just screwed a standard M4 nut onto the tube using the threading tool I linked above, then left it permanently installed on the tube.

Re: T&T: Top coat wood interior floors for UV
Fri, Feb 15, 2019 7:20 PM
It has been suggested that a spar varnish be used for top coating, but I am sure that many of you have found other options. > > We will have 65% light block mesh on the saloon side windows and 92% mesh across the front, which will help, but I would prefer to finish the coating with something UV resistant and forget about it for our life on the boat!!
