TWL: New software connects Raymarine radar to your PC
Tue, Feb 19, 2002 5:55 AM
On their website, www.raymarine.com, they have announced version four of the RayTech Navigator. Very nice screen shots of a radar displays on top of charts. Now one does not need to buy the seriously overpriced Nobeltech Sci-Tex radar to have this capability. Best, Steve Steve Dubnoff Nauticat 40 M/S, Pyxis, in Washington sdubnoff@circlesys.com

TWL: Re: backflow preventer for sewage system - products?

Joe Out of curiosity, I looked at the Microphor website. Interesting toilets. It looks to me like you don't need to add anything. The toilets include a vacuum break on the flush water valve. That should provide backflow prevention, shouldn't it? This looks similar to the VacuFlush toilets.

Unfortunately their website is presently under construction so a link would do no good. Jim -- Jim McCorison Starfish Marine (619) 337-5370 http://manana.mccorison.com - Our Travels with Maqana http://www.starfishmarine.com - My Business

Re: TWGL: Twin screws, bad fuel
Thu, Oct 3, 2002 11:15 PM
They say both >engines would die at the same time, anyway.... I've personally never had an engine stop due to bad fuel. I have however had them die due to a raw water pump failure, and air in one of the fuel lines, and a transmission failure, and an oil hose rupturing. In none of these cases was the second engine affected.

Re: [OpenSCAD] printing 5/16-18 threads
Fri, May 15, 2020 4:51 PM
I froze a flexible part and managed to tap it, but attempts to use a die on a rod have failed, even when frozen. nop head: do you believe that print orientation is important when printing threads?  That is, better with the rod horizontal or vertical?
