Re: [OpenSCAD] Scale which varies with Z
Thu, Aug 27, 2015 3:18 PM
Chamfering some shapes is easy (a cylinder!) but chamfering an arbitrary shape is more difficult. My concept was to take the shape of the cavity and subtract it from the cube, but then use the scale-that-varies-with-Z to make another copy of that shape which was broader at the bottom and narrower at the top.

Re: [time-nuts] 1" 14 tpi UNS die

Hi guys, I'm using a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe with my Panasonic gps antenna on top. The weight and friction of the cable below it will pretty much prevent it from lifting off the pipe, probably even in a hurricane. I didn't even bother with silicone sealant because the threaded part overlaps by a good inch over the outside of the pipe.

Re: How to round the top inner and outer edges?
Sun, Sep 3, 2023 11:02 AM
It's beautiful, but how did you generate all those points?? I had to hollow out the part a bit and change the shape some so I would like to find a more generic way to round the edges.
