It will run about $5000 but will last 10 years (that's what I did for my boat on the west coast, where it doesn't freeze, it just rains... and rains... and rains). TWL: Link 10
Tue, Jun 17, 2003 10:01 PM
I'm still learning about my newly installed Link 10 battery monitor. I've read and reread the manual several times but can't decide about a couple of the setup parameters. Can you other Link 10 owners advise me? I think I want to set the low battery alarm so that it comes on at 50% discharge instead of the default 80%. Is that a good idea?

Not to travel with us and not to visit with (on board) at the dock. None of the longtime friends we occasionally take on the boat have small children so that is not an issue. If it was an issue we would not allow children on the boat as a general rule.

Re: TWL: Vacuum bagging
Fri, Oct 10, 2003 3:23 AM
I vacuum bag using a shop vac, 10 mil plastic sheet, and a 1/2 I.D. plastic hose with holes drilled in it for the header (sometimes I just snake a 1/4 " piece of line around the area being bagged.)

Hi The MIL-STD 202 folks seemed to be quite happy with a 10% mix of He and whatever. My guess is that you could fill the pressure chamber with your water sourced H2 and then blow it up to 50 PSI with the shop compressor. The obvious disadvantage of any process using H2 is fire / explosion. I’m not 100% sure this is the approach I’d want to take …..
