http://www.floridastateparks.org/capeflorida/activities.cfm#10 This is a nice harbor during the week but is mobbed on the weekend, tons of weekend boaters all around the area. You can also climb the Cape Florida Lighthouse while you are there during regularly scheduled tours.

Re: T&T: sea levels, was diesel prices

Among other things, we started taking climate records in 1968 and he was chief scientist on a year-long expedition tho the Bering Sea about 10 years ago. A couple of notes: first, melting sea ice will have no effect on ocean level -- the displacement of the ice sees to that. It's only melting glaciers which can raise the sea level.

You can probably fine a better price if you look around, but for me the convenience wins out almost every time -- there is one about a 10 minute drive from my boat. See www.metalsupermarkets.com for details. No connection, etc. One other note if you do go, make sure to sort through the stainless steel "cutoffs" bin.

Running on 27 volts instead of 24 is 10% less current and 10% less voltage drop. Plus, more or less by definition you will never be pulling up the anchor without the engine running so you don't need to worry about running down the start bank.
