Not seen any in "my patch" in New Milford since January and early February, when huge mixed flocks of blackbirds (80-100) descended several times on my feeders - mostly grackles, very few red-winged blackbirds, plus cowbirds and starlings. One lone gloriously iridescent male grackle last week - definitely an outlier. Shall check two local swamps today.

A large flock of blackbirds including Red Wing Blackbirds, Brown headed Cowbirds arrived about a week ago. They spend a lot of time chattering in the treetops near the river. Nice to hear their sound return.
