others—to determine our self-worth. But here’s the truth: real peace comes

, not from approval, likes, or applause.

Why Do We Crave Approval?

From childhood, we’re conditioned to seek approval. A smile from a parent,
a gold star at school, a pat on the back at work—it all feels good. But
when we depend on it, we hand over control of our happiness to the outside
