Hi Kaprel, The Wednesday Night race on the 4th of July has always been on the Cruising Fleet calendar. We have already lost several races this season, so every potential Wednesday night race is important to us. We’re surprised that the Club calendar has no Cruising Fleet/one design racing scheduled for the 4th of July, and those who attended the program meeting have no memory of any discussion to cancel racing on the 4th. Please note the Club events scheduled, and the Wednesday Night racing on the 4th of July, are not mutually exclusive. We see no reason that the Club can’t embrace all of the activities and have one big happy party to enjoy dinner, the fireworks, and music on the patio after dark when the racing is completed. I understand but, speaking for myself, I don't want to go to two different websites and calendars to stay on top of things. Cruising fleet should make sure the club calendar is current and accurate for it’s activities.
