Hi all, Any help would be MUCH appreciated! A planned trip to New England is in jeopardy! Engine instrument failure. Mercury SmartCraft VesselView, likely produced from 2007 to 2012. It reads a variety of engine and generator conditions (RPM, temp, oil pressure etc). In this application it is connected to a Cummins QSB 5.9. It began an intermittent failure (reading dashes instead of numbers) in April. It was usually solved by waiting a few minutes or restarting the engine. Last weekend it was reading the engine at startup then to dashes and never recovered. I checked all connections I could and talked to Mercury tech support who walked me through a factory reset to no avail. The engine starts and runs fine. Suspect it is the VesselView that has failed. Anybody with news of a similar failure and a fix would be appreciated. Stay safe!
