Greetings Colleagues,
Please see the message below listing professional development opportunities with ARL. Applications are open for the Kaleidoscope Program (KP) and Leadership & Career Development Program (LCDP), which cater to IBPOC individuals. KP targets ALA-accredited master's students, while LCDP is for mid-level leaders with 5+ years of experience and offers limited scholarships. Share broadly with your networks.

Subject: /ARL/ Cohort Program applications
We are currently accepting applications for two of our cohort programs—the Kaleidoscope Programhttps://www.arl.org/news/kaleidoscope-program-call-for-applications-deadline-may-13-2/ (KP) and the Leadership & Career Development Programhttps://www.arl.org/news/leadership-and-career-development-program-call-for-applications-deadline-may-28/ (LCDP).
Additionally, registration for the 2024 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility in Libraries & Archives (IDEAL) Conferencehttps://events.arl.org/ideal24/ is still open. If individual institutions—or the HBCU Library Alliance—are interested in exploring registering 5 or more people, group discounts are available.
Finally, we are accepting applications for an open short-term, part-time consulting appointmenthttps://www.arl.org/news/arl-seeks-consultant-to-facilitate-mentor-matching-for-kaleidoscope-program-2024/ for an individual to match the incoming KP cohort with their mentors.
We are planning to release updated resources about these and additional opportunities in the coming months. We'll be sure to send those your way as well and remain open to (re)connecting to further explore ideas, interests, opportunities, and needs.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of these items, please let us know.
Wishing you all the best!
