Ahoy, all hands!

When I asked for candidates for the single best trawler yacht of all time,
regardless of cost, several issues are being clearly indicated by your
balloting.

In the power voyager category, it is becoming obvious what your preferences
are among boats such as the Willard 40, the Kadey-Krogen 48 and the
Nordhavn 46.

Similarly, when it comes to custom boats and prototypes, such as Robert
Beebe's Passagemaker and Bruce Kessler's Spirit of Zopilote, and the
all-aluminum Traveller, a definite pattern has started to emerge.

But the picture is still somewhat muddled when it comes to power cruisers,
semi-displacement vessels such as the Grand Banks 42 Classic and the
DeFever 49 Pilothouse.

If you have not yet voted, please do so, especially if you have a strong
preference in the latter catgeory. Of course, you can vote in any category
you like, if you have not voted yet, but I'd love to see more response in
the latter category. For the data to have meaning, I'd like to have at
least a 10-per-cent sampling of the listee universe.

You can cast your ballot by naming the one trawler you like most and
sending it to me at mailto:news@trawlerworld.com.

Thank you, one and all!
