I don't know anything about the Racor version, but we have installed the
Walker equipment onto some of our old Detroits. We have since replaced
most this equipment with new equipment that has other engines, but they
worked will as long as we had them.

At least two companies make special Crankcase enclosed systems to help stop
or retard many of these maladies. The most famous for these contraptions is
Walker Engineering and the Walker Air SEP. I found out that Racor (the fuel
filter folks) also have a closed crankcase system.
For my 4-53 naturals the Walkers are $750 each and the Racor versions are
$375.
