Hi Ontbirders,
At the old burn area near Constance Bay Saturday August 7th at 14:45, I
and one other person saw 2 adult Red-headed Woodpeckers. We were on the
same sand trail described by Peter Campbell and Bruce Di Labio close to
the end of the trail (ends at a private home). We looked for about 30
minutes, but could not find any juveniles. The adults were actively
digging into several dead trees. one spent some time at the top of cut
off end of a tree digging.
Happy birding
