Hi all, I'm in the process of buying a Defever 50 and during the survey the
four Europa type supports from the top deck to the main deck showed signs of
being wet internally. The rest of the boat hull thumping went verry well
and the interior is great. This is a really nice 1989 boat, but I am
concerned about those struts. What say the group about this?
If they are fiberglass, they just need drains installed. Saw this on another
boat. If wood is involved to include caprail, it is likely that there is
rot. Probably, the aft struts are structural.
