Sometime ago someone posted information on setting up a free Blog or Website.
I saved it, but can't seem to find it now that I want to set one up for my
Great Loop Trip.  Would that person please contact me direct. This old guy
needs all the help he can get.

Check out: http://www.talkspot.com

There are several hundred boats with websites on Talkspot, including my
personal site: www.nordhavn68.com

Pros/Cons

  • Power to do about anything
  • No advertising on your site
  • Free
  • With power comes complexity. There is a steeper learning curve than with
    competitive products
  • No real company behind the product

I must confess that I own Talkspot, and that it is a hobby for me. It has
been around for about six years, has 14,000 websites, and is growing
rapidly. It's just something I do to keep my brain from rotting during
retirement.

Hopefully this posting is ok with the forum administrators. If not, please
delete it, and accept my apologies...
