Just last week, Microchip announced they are the reseller for the Jackson Labs 53100A Phase Station.

https://www.microchip.com/pressreleasepage/microchip-announces-the-53100a-phase-noise-analyzer-for-precision-oscillator-characterization

Just speculation on my part - this is really a MicroSemi deal.

Hi

I would bet you are correct in saying the guys at Microsemi, Symmetricom likely are the ones
responsible. Microchip has been slowly pushing the uniform “Microchip” brand labeling onto
the various sub-organizations.

I wonder if Jackson Labs will still be selling them …..

Not to new customers, at least.

It’s also possible MC gets sales for existing MC customers.  I’m a strong MC customer, and Jackson Labs may have checked a “registered customer” list before sending me to MC.

Hi,

There is just a quick note on Jackson Labs webpage "Microsemi has taken
over marketing and sales of the 53100A PhaseStation"

Hi

Marketing and sales, ok. How about manufacturing? Yes, this is getting
a bit deep into very subtle distinctions. I suspect I’ll be getting an email at
some point explaining what’s what on the Jackson Labs labeled products.

That's the point. Anyway I've installed the latest software, Timelab
v1.5. The unit it now reported as Microchip.

Hi

Well if the units Jackson Labs sold now show up in the software
as Microchip, I’d say that pretty much ends the conversation.

Hi,
I recently had asked Jackson Labs to quote for the phase station. With the
quotation came the advice to order quickly, because the price would increase
after April 30th.
Now the reason is clear.

Best regards
Bernd
