Good morning birders.
The Park has many birds being reported throughout.
Both the SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER and FRANKLIN’S GULL have been reported
again today at the Tip.
Also at the Tip a minor reverse included the sighting of RED-HEADED
WOODPECKER and SUMMER TANAGER. AMERICAN PIPIT, HORNED LARK, BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVERS, and RUDDY TURNSTONE were additionally observed.
A WHITE-EYED VIREO was noted along the Shuster Trail, and another on Redbud
Trail.
A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was also seen near the Tip.
There have been at least 17 species of warbler reported. PROTHONOTARY,
BLUE-WINGED, WILSON’S, TENNESSEE, HOODED were seen.
Several RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS were reported at the Tip and in Tilden’s.
A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was found on the Tilden Trail and the Redbud Trail.
There were reports of CLAY-COLORED SPARROW in behind the Visitor’s Centre
and the Marsh Boardwalk.
