Just a short note to say hello, some of you might remember us from
last year in Poulsbo. We will make every reasonable or unreasonable
effort to come back this June. The big news for us is that sometime this
summer, probably right after the Trawlerfest, our brand new trawler will
be launched. Once all the needed interior goodies are in we will put our
"hooch" up for sale, then its "good bye" jobs and we will be liveaboards
again after about 14 years. We lived on a Wharram Cat before but were
not retired which should make a big difference. The budget will be
tighter for sure since I am going before I need a wheelchair to get
around.

Our floating home is a custom built and designed Power-Dory based on

the San-Pierre fish boats used on the Atlantic side of Canada. We need
to travel on a shoestring budget so this boat is powered by an engine
smaller then some of you guys use to run your generators. Will it work??
I sure hope so!! Lenght on Deck is 32 feet ;displacement is 7tons(long
ones).

Since it is a dory and therefore flat on the bottom we have two long

keels to keep the boat upright when beaching. Transporting by land can
be done on a flatbed truck. The prop is neatly tucked between the keels
and out of harms way as much as possible. To keep the construction cost
to a minimum and still use a
professional builder we used marine grade plywood, closed cell foam and
about 1 and 1/2 barrels of West Epoxy.
The designer used the tape and glue method of construction which made
the interior quite clean looking. This was supposed to be a short note
and I am going to stop.

Hope to see you all in Poulsbo Uwe & Vera
