WiFi Bahamas

Russ, here is a link which describes how to get Internet service in the
Bahamas via a Batelco USB air card:

I have not had a chance to personally try this in the Bahamas but I will
certainly look into it for our next trip.  I have just about given up on
WiFi here in the US and use an air card almost exclusively these days even
though we have a high powered WiFi adapter with an external antenna.  In
my experience our air card is usually faster than WiFi and more reliable.
It also offers better security from hackers.  Many USB air cards have a
connection port for an external antenna.  That increases range and
reliability in my experience.  Another possibility is to get an unlocked
MiFi adapter which would create your own WiFi hot spot via a Batelco
connection (after purchasing a Batelco SIM card).

Regards and good cruising,

Having paid for WiFi at Marsh Harbour, Abaco and been hugely disappointed
with the cost and service quality, I am looking into a WiFi antenna
extender.

Russ,
You might also consider the Island Time system. We used it for several years
until our marina upgraded to a very reliable and powerful wifi system.
Worked pretty good
