What a difference one day can make at the HawkWatch..!!
Today on much lighter breezes of 5 MPH or so, mainly from the North, we ended up with a total 64 Raptors until 12 Noon. By which time, the winds had shifted to the South, and the count was over..
Birds by the hour...
6. - 15 - 13 - 24 - and 6 from 11 to 12..
Sharp- shinned.. 22
Cooper's ... 23
Osprey ... 10
Merlin ... 3
Bald Eagle ... 2
American Kestrel ... 1
Peregrine Falcon ... 1
Broad-wing Hawk ... 1
One U identified Buteo

438 Blue jays, 498 Canada Geese in several Large wedges and the Black-Billed Cuckoo that Nick found late yesterday kept the interest.. The other usual suspects were present.
Thanks to Sol Satin, Tom Macon from the Putney VT Hawkwatch, Amanda Kellenback, and Steve mayo for their help.
We need CLOUDS!!!
