From Annie and Mike Perko:
11/15/14 - Colchester, yard -- A RED HEADED WOODPECKER (JUVENILE)
showed up under my peanut feeder in back. Going from peanut feeder to
suet feeder tree in back yard. Showed up at 7:45 AM and still there as
of 4 PM, coming as often as every 2 minutes caching away peanuts in
two large swamp maples in backyard.

11/15/14 - Colchester deck -- 6:45-7:45 AM; Brown Creeper, Common
Raven.

11/15/14 - Litchfield, Bantam Lake -- One Red-throated Loon this
morning in the center of the lake.

11/15/14 - East Windsor, Broad Brook Mill Pond -- Greater
White-fronted Goose arrived about 10:30 AM.  Barnacle Goose arrived
around 11 AM.

11/15/14 - Bridgeport, Seaside Park -- 11 AM; A CATTLE EGRET just flew
out of the horse pen that is near the west entrance to the park. It
flew behind the landfill, heading west.

11/15/14 - Madison, Hammonasset SP -- COMMON EIDER, 2 GREAT
CORMORANTS, 40+ SNOW BUNTINGS (all at end of moraine trail, visible
from Cedar Isle trail platform).

11/15/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 1 Brown Creeper in
campground, 70 Snow Buntings in several parking areas and also viewed
from Cedar I platform, 2 Northern Gannet, 1 Common Eider.

11/15/14 - East Windsor, Broad Brook -- found the Barnacle Goose and
the Greater White-fronted Goose.

11/15/14 - Barkhamsted Yard -- Just when I thought my yard Fox Sparrow
numbers were subsiding, I counted 19 visible at one pass along grounds
where I feed (4:15 PM). Also for the yard today: 1 Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 1 Brown Creeper, several Pine Siskins, 1 Common Raven.

11/15/14 - Lyme, Ely's Ferry Rd -- 3:00 PM; 1 Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 1 Brown Creeper, flock of Pine Siskins.

Common Eider, 8 White-winted Scoter, 2 Northern Pintail.

YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (1f), AMERICAN WOODCOCK flushed from sunny
hillside.

(has been associating with Mallards for a week).

Juvie GOLDEN EAGLE gave great looks, 7 PEREGRINE FALCONS, 44 PINE
SISKINS.
