Lubricating Throttle Cables

Yet another use for Marvel Mystery Oil!
On my Boston Whaler we have a push-pull steering, Teleflex I think.  It was
getting hard to steer so I installed a device sold by Davis (the plastic
sextant folks).  I looks like a large nut with a hole drilled in the side.  I
use 90w gear oil rather than Davis' expensive magic stuff.  Point being that
after lubing the cable with gear oil, it works good as new.  I put a couple of
drops in about once a year.  I think the gadget shown in the photo from the
houseboatingworld site would be an easy solution.  If you installed it at the
top you could probably do without the air compressor.  Gravity is our friend!
