With conditions improving somewhat at midday, a modest flight was observed but dwindled to a trickle as a result of the moderate southeast winds that prevailed during the afternoon. Observations: The Monarch migration continued today in significant numbers, which is the third day in a row with large totals observed. A secondary site, the Headquarters of Pointe Mouillee State Game Area can be used during certain wind conditions. When staffing is available, both sites can be used at the same time. The season begins on the first day of September and concludes on the final day of November.
