In anticipation of the imminent return of piping plovers, least terns, American oystercatchers, and other important birds, the West Haven Watershed Restoration Committee is holding a clean-up of Sandy Point on Saturday, 26 March 2016, from 9am - 11am. Please join us! Trash bags and vinyl gloves will be provided, or bring your own work gloves. Other items that can be useful: trash picker-uppers, rakes. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the parking lot across from the old Captain's Galley Restaurant, 15 Beach Street, West Haven.There will be no rain date; per DEEP, this cleanup must be completed prior to the 1st of April.
