Has anyone experienced detailed printing problems with High Resolution
files using Lulzbot Taz 6 printer with Cura 3.6.31 software?
It prints regular files OK but after a new toolhead was installed and the
toolhard was bored out to be a little larger (wider) with a drill so the
filament could be changed it has problem printing in detail.
I checked with Luilzbot and they say our PC (running Windows 10) has plenty
of power to print 3D prints.
It prints most of the object but toward the end it loses detail and the
object is smeared.
Thank you.
Example STL files would help. Sometimes towards the end of a print with
details (think of the peaks of mountain ranges when printing a topo map)
each layer takes so little time to print that the plastic does not have
enough time to cool between layers. Some slicers let you specify a
minimum layer time, and will loiter to give the plastic time to cool.
It does not take any power to print 3D objects. The gCode has been
calculated and all the PC is doing is spewing bytes out to the printer.
This discussion group is mostly for CAD with OpenSCAD: you might get
better responses from a Lulzbot Taz forum.
Good luck!

Shouldn't this discussion be in a Cura or Lulzbot forum? Doesn't seem to have anything to do with OpenSCAD.
