Interest in meeting on university city issues

At the Seminar, the issue arose about whether it would make sense to hold a one day or two day program on issues devoted strictly to those of you who represent college towns, university cities or other communities with the types of issues that hosting an institution that offers challenges not faced in single family residential neighborhoods. We started talking about this and became energized.  So, I didn't want to lose that energy by not reaching out.  If we were able to put something together at a relatively low cost at a location where we could minimize those costs, would you be interested in attending.  We might be able to get some CLE, but the main concept would be to bring people together to share issues, ideas and possibly solutions to problems many face.  From student housing, underage drinking, flash mobs, escooters, etc.  Let me know if you have interest.  One plan would be to try to locate in a city where the college or university might allow us to use its facilities to meet and keep costs low.  If you think that might be an option where you are, let me know.  Keeping airfare and hotel costs low will also be important.  Chuck

Subject: [Universitycities] Interest in meeting on university city issues

At the Seminar, the issue arose about whether it would make sense to hold a
one day or two day program on issues devoted strictly to those of you who
represent college towns, university cities or other communities with the
types of issues that hosting an institution that offers challenges not
faced in single family residential neighborhoods. We started talking about
this and became energized.  So, I didn’t want to lose that energy by not
reaching out.  If we were able to put something together at a relatively
low cost at a location where we could minimize those costs, would you be
interested in attending.  We might be able to get some CLE, but the main
concept would be to bring people together to share issues, ideas and
possibly solutions to problems many face.  From student housing, underage
drinking, flash mobs, escooters, etc.  Let me know if you have interest.
One plan would be to try to locate in a city where the college or
university might allow us to use its facilities to meet and keep costs
low.  If you think that might be an option where you are, let me know.
Keeping airfare and hotel costs low will also be important.  Chuck

Chuck [cid:image001.png@01D4C6C7.7ECFB4C0] Charles W.
