Sunday racing, October 1st

To All -

The wind has let us down for the last two weeks, but today we finally got a
truncated race in, thanks to Race Committee PRO Gary Tenenbaum. What made
today really special was that Marco, in Encore, gave the helm over to young
sailor Jonah Pollissar. The light north air was shifty and very challenging,
but Jonah kept up pretty well catching many of the elusive zephyrs as lifts
and headers. Well done, Jonah!

A personal note - when we went out to race, there was some confusion because
the RC thought that there was no Cruising Fleet participation in today's
Sunday racing. However, if you check the 2017 Scoring Rules you will note
that the HRYRA Long Distance Race is not included in the Nyack Scoring, but
the Last Chance Regatta next weekend is.

See you on the water.
