It's business as usual at Bobby's Fish Camp, Tenn-Tom Mile 118.9. Electrical
power was restored yesterday, November 9, and Bobby has gas and diesel.
Damage in the immediate area was limited to some trees being blown down and Bobby's
house losing some shingles.

As I reported last week, the situation farther south in the Mobile area is
far more serious.

Ed Wall at Eastern Shore Marina expects to be able to pump fuel in about two
weeks despite significant structural and water damage to his repair facility
and office building.  Most of his docks are still in place and he is attempting
to get everything emptied from his repair facilities so he can begin to
rebuild and become fully operational.  Most all the boats the storm surge floated
from the marina's boatyard to the parking lot have been returned to the
boatyard.  Boats moved by the storm surge from the nearby Fairhope Yacht Club and
stacked near Eastern Shore's building will be moved as soon as possible.

Over on Dog River, nothing was left intact at Dog River Marine except the
paint building.  And that includes the West Marine store.  It was gutted.  Sonny
Middleton is making plans to rebuild and intends to be ready for Loopers when
most of them begin arriving in early November.

Turner Marine was wiped out.  The boats that were there at the time of the
storm are in a big pile at the marine, remain sunk in the nearby Dog River
Marine's harbor or were swept away by a storm surge estimated at 15 to 20 feet.  A
story not yet confirmed is that Keith Turner intends to rebuild his facility
but only as a marina, not as a combination marina and boat yard.

There are still no specifics as to the situation at Grand Mariner Marina
that's directly across the river from Dog River Marine and Turner Marine.  In the
meantime, it's safe to assume their offices and ship's store were badly
flooded and that their docks and boats were severely damaged or destroyed.

I will post further advisories concerning the Tenn-Tom and the Mobile area as
more information becomes available.

Please contact me directly if you have specific concerns.

Man, Katrina has pushed you through a time-warp! Check all those clocks
again. No wonder everything is better, you've had a month to work on it.
