Flora & Fine Arts Returns to Tacoma Art Museum

Puget Sound designers create art-inspired arrangements for exhibition

(Tacoma, WA) - April showers will bring all manner of flowers to Tacoma
Art Museum for a special four-day exhibition this spring. In partnership
with Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma Garden Club invites prominent Puget Sound
designers and floral artists to create 24 stunning arrangements inspired
by Drawing Line into Form: Works on Paper by Sculptors from the
Collection of BNY Mellon. Flora & Fine Arts will be on display from
Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21.

An array of 23 arrangements will be juxtaposed within the gallery
alongside the piece that inspired them from Drawing Line into Form. The
exhibition also includes a site-specific bonsai installation by Elandan
Gardens in the untitled "stone wave" that sits in the heart of the
museum.

"The interplay between works in Drawing Line into Form and the floral
creations of talented local designers will dazzle museum visitors and
provide new ways of connecting people through art," said Stephanie A.
Stebich, Director of Tacoma Art Museum.

This exhibition has been inspired by similar events at the Museum of
Fine Arts, Boston, the de Young Museum in San Francisco, and the
Minneapolis Institute of Art. This is the second time that Tacoma Art
Museum has exhibited Flora & Fine Arts.
