View all threadsHello,
I am trying to install cspace on centos following
instructions at
https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/DOC/Installing+on+Yum+Compatible+Linux+Distributions
So far everything is going fine and all the prerequisites are
installed. I am struck at downloading the tar file for services from the
recommended link
https://github.com/collectionspace/services/archive/v4.4.tar.gz . Managed
to download the .tar.gz file of size about 249MB three times but can't
untar it. Everytime I get some weird messages that most probably point
towards corrupt tar file. The latest message says,
tar: Skipping to next header
gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
I am using wireless internet. Can somebody verify if the
source file provided at the link is OK and something is happening when I
try to fetch it over my wireless network? Is there some other way I can
take the file? I tried directly through browser but no success.
Or should I try the latest version 4.5 as 4.4 may be a little
old?
Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Regards,
Aman
Hello,
Managed to get the file. Definitive the culprit was my mobile
network. Used XDM download manager and was able to fetch the file intact.
As such the source file is ok but was corrupted during the download.
The issue is resolved, kindly ignore.
Regards,
Aman
