Dear Colleagues,

Please join me in welcoming a new member to the listserv, WEN Xin
(xwen0113@gmail.com ), who has provided the following self-introduction:

I am a Ph.D. Student in Inner Asian and Altaic Studies at Harvard
University.  Broadly speaking, I am interested in the history of western
China (Gansu, Ningxia, western Mongolia) and eastern Central Asia in the
post-Tang, pre-Yuan period. I am also interested in the ways various aspect
of middle period history can be reevaluated through reading contemporary
non-Chinese texts.  My dissertation project, which I am starting now, will
deal with the experience of traveling between China and Central Asia from
the 9th to the 13th century

Yours truly,

Michael
