Lighthouse Point Park, New Haven, 10-11-2018, 7am-12:30pm - Today was not much of a day for watching hawks, but tomorrow should be a lot better with a cold front tonight and NW winds tomorrow at 15 mph.
Migrating before today’s rain were 5 Osprey, 8 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 5 Cooper’s Hawk, 7 American Kestrel, 5 Merlin, and 1 Unknown Falcon. Also, 1 local adult Peregrine Falcon visited the park again today.
Go to the Lighthouse Point Park page at hawkcount.org and the Lighthouse Point Park eBird hotspot for an account of these and other birds seen.
