I would like to introduce the newest member to the listserv, Martin Doesch
(martindoesch@yahoo.de )
He is a PhD student at the University of Erlangen, Germany, currently
working on aspects of history, cosmology, and divination in the work of the
Song dynasty philosopher Shao Yong. He has studied sinology, philosophy,
and theatre and media and has earned a degree in 'Ethics of Textual
Cultures' ('Ethik der Textkulturen'). His fields of interest are:
Philosophy of pre-modern times (European/western and Chinese), philosophy of
history, time, mythology, questions of translation and didactics of
(classical) language and translation; Song Dynasty (philosophy and textual
transmission); Tang-Song-transition; Yijing and commentaries, Shanhaijing,
Zhuangzi, Wang Chong, Wang Bi, Shao Yong, Epicurus, Thomas Aquinas,
Heidegger.
