All,
Sorry. The incoming message about Manatee did not look like anything but
plain text at my end, but I am told that it was in MIME protocol (whatever
that is!). I have been informed that my reply was full of mime junk.
I believe I have all settings in Outlook set to minimise this problem but it
persists. Also, if I see anything that looks like "MIME" I try to remember
to do 'cut and paste' to a fresh reply. If any confuser gurus out there
want to give me a detailed list of settings in Outlook 2000 to verify, I'd
be happy to double-check.
I get over a hundred emails a day. It is highly likely that despite my
efforts, my responses to people that post in MIME protocol will continue to
bother a few list members (only the digest?) from time to time. So if this
becomes too much of a bother I will be withdrawing from the TWL. That will
be a pity, as I enjoy the list and I believe that other than Georgs, I have
the most "seniority" on the list. Also, I believe that I have been a net
contributor.
Georgs, I suggest that the list server needs tweaking. IMHO, It is
unreasonable to expect people to remember to not use advanced protocols on
this list.

Just for your info: I'm a plain MacHead, my system only reads ASCII
text and your message came across as clear as if I had typed it on my
own keyboard. Methinks the way you're transmitting is near perfect.
It works well - don't futz with it! And don't be sorry(for what).
