Free cruise to Alaska

Here is the deal.  I need another person to help me deliver a 100ft private
trawler yacht from Sidney BC to Alaska, departing about the 17th of March.
The
person who had committed to go, backed out at the last moment due to his dog
needing surgery.  (It's true, I've met the dog, and it's WAY too big for
it's bones).  So, what's in it for you?  A chance to see all that the Inside
Passage has to offer.  We plan to take about ten days, and enjoy ourselves
fully.  I have to test out the new crab pot's, shrimp pots, and best of all
the new electric pot puller. We have a great 26 ft tender for this. I plan
to explore new hotsprings, and remote anchorages, but also spend several
nights at upscale places like Campbell river and Nanimo.  You get your own
private room complete with head, flat screen tv and satellite, all meals,
trawler training if you like, and a ride on a true blue water trawler yacht.
This boat has been through the Panama Canal, up the East Coast, down to the
tropics, and is far and away the best blue water boat I have ever run.
Captain
Pat Raines ran her for quite a while, and wrote great things about her in
Sea magazine.

You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the boat,
must have a passport and be able to enter Canada, have no criminal record,  a
reference or two and be a non or VERY light drinker.  (Your criminal record
WILL be checked by Canadian customs, no exceptions). Limited experience is
fine, you will be taught to stand a wheel watch if needed, but it's all very
casual.  What I need most is someone to help in tying off the boat when we
enter port, as it's a long ways from the pilot house to the dock, and some
very light maintenance.  Contact me through my website.  ..Arctic

Thanks to all who applied for this position.  As you might guess, I received
a huge number of replies, over half of which I judged to be highly
qualified.  We have since filled the position.  Thanks again to all for your
interest, and if you are still looking for the chance to explore the Inside
Passage, there are several charter operations that would love to work with
you, ours included.
Safe sailing to you.......................................Arctic Traveller
