The Wednesday Night Series is scheduled to start next week on June 17. Are you ready?
If you're interested in racing your boat this season, please have a valid PHRF and answer two questions (just by reply email)
So far only seven (7) NBC boats have a 2020 HRYRA PHRF rating. Get your 2020 PHRF here: https://phrf.hryra.org/
(Fandango, Golden Hind, Hee Soo, Polli, Race Riot, Sheba, The Office)
Scoring Rules on Delinquent PHRF:
If a boat does not have a valid 2020 HRYRA PHRF at the time of a race, then such boats that receive a pending 2020 HRYRA PHRF within 7 calendar days following the date of a race (based on the rating date posted on the HRYRA web site) will be included in the determination of results for that race based on their final 2020 HRYRA PHRF. Otherwise, such boats will be excluded in the determination of results for that race, and will receive a score of DNC.
QUESTION # 1:
For Wednesday Night racing, we're considering adding a short-handed non-spinnaker division, if this would bring more boats out to race.
Short-handed would mean no more than two aboard (skipper + one crew member, or skipper single-handed).
What division will you race in? CHOICES: A) Spinnaker, B) Non-Spinnaker, C) Short-Handed
Note: Even, with only two divisions (Spin & Non-Spin), short-handers are always welcome to compete in those divisions.
QUESTION #2:
For Sundays, we're considering a Cruising Fleet series to run every other Sunday, for 5 Sundays in all from late June through mid-August, most likely Non-Spinnaker only, aiming to get at least 2 races in each Sunday.
Are you likely to participate in this Sunday Series? YES or NO
Any other comments on Cruising Fleet and PHRF racing are welcome.
Thanks for you feedback.
