Not to beat a dead horse, but get me my stick....

This looks like a pretty good weather map/radar image viewer for those
of you with smartphones. ( I have a BlackBerry, SHOOT!)

the software is cheap ($10) and there is NO service fee, you just need
internet access.

It's a pretty nice software product but it only supports Windows Mobile
devices.  The truth is that you can get the same thing for free for Windows
Mobile, Palm, Blackberry, Nokia, etc.  I often displayed radar loops on my
Treo while underway.  NOAA publishes these as well as many weather sites -
that's where memory-map gets the weather data.  The best way to use them is
to access them through google from your smartphone.  If you do that, google
will reformat the page to fit onto your display.  So open a browser on your
phone and search in google for: NOAA weather radar loop national.  Find the
links that you like, go there from the google link, and bookmark them.  I
kept one national link that allowed me to tap on an area to zoom in.  I
viewed it every day while planning for the next day.

It should work on any mobile device with a semi-normal web browser.

well, I have a blackberry so I couldnt check out the software, so I
dont know exactly what it does. BUT, if all it does is download the
latest version, then yeah, you may as well just use your browser. BUT,
if it gets the latest version in the background every period of time
(hour? day? settable?) so that when I want to view it I dont have to
wait, well thats worth $10 to me. :)
