Hi!

I wonder if this post is still active and I can post here. I recently
switched to a new computer with a Intel HD graphics 5500 graphic card and
the preview is not working, i.e. I can only see bits and pieces of the
drawing.

I also tried with the snapshot that were posted here but neither the 32 nor
the 64 bit are working,

it's a dell laptop with an Intel core i7-5500CPU @ 2.4GHz,

do you guys have any advice, things to try?

Hi Andrea,

Could you try this:

  1. First, make sure your run the latest version of OpenSCAD: 2015.03-2
  2. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphic card
  3. Activate this and see if that helps: Preferences->Advanced->Force Goldfeather
  4. If all fails, send us the contents of Help->Library Info

I know this post is a little old, but I'm hoping people are still watching.
I'm having the same issues here. I have a Surface Book with an Intel i7,
16gb of RAM.
If I Force Goldfeather the software locks up.

I've tried with the latest release, the release referenced in this post as
well as the Development Snapshot.

I've seen a lot of chatter on the web about opengl problems on windows 8
and 10. Maybe this link will help?

The Surface Book I have has the NVidia dGPU, which is the extra GPU in the
keyboard. I found the setting to force OpenSCAD to use the dGPU and ignore
the Intel graphics card. It works perfectly on the NVidia. I don't know of
this is helpful in finding the root cause, but it appears to be something in
the Intel drivers.
