All applications must be at Artist Trust by 5pm on this date - this is not a postmark deadline. The Program will take place in Seattle on February 28 - April 12, 2014. Please encourage eligible artists to apply!
The EDGE Program provides artists with a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field. The EDGE Program focuses on supplying artists with the relevant and necessary entrepreneurial skills to achieve their personal career goals and build a strong network for ongoing peer support and exchange.
2014 faculty include Karen Maeda Allman, Rachel Buker, Scott Driscoll, Rebecca Hoogs, and Dan Mayer; other professionals from the field will join us a guest presenters including Elizabeth Austen, Kevin Emerson, Jourdan Keith, Harold Taw, Elissa Washuta, and an illustrious panel of publishers and agents from Wales Literary Agency, Sasquatch and Wave Books and other leading literary professionals.
Open to emerging or mid-career writers of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. Applicants must be residents of Washington State but cannot be matriculated students. Applicants must commit to completing the entire 50-hour program. Tuition is $500 for Artist Trust members, $545 for non-members. Limited scholarships are available, including a Latino/a and Filipino/a Scholarship Fund for Professional Development.
