Attwood Marine kudos

I want to praise Attwood support...and Steven Havinga in particular.

I had lost the plastic cover off my starboard running light of my Avon
dinghy and inquired of Defender (an Avon dealer) how to get a replacement.
Defender suggested that it was an Attwood fixture and directed me there.
Steven at Attwood responded: "Got just what you're looking for, if you would
like to e-mail me your mailing address I would be happy to send you a free
replacement."

I have no connection to Attwood other than being a happy, NON-PAYING
customer! Their website is:

This must be the reason they have been around so long. "Attwood was
founded in 1893 by Charles F. Attwood as Attwood Brass Works, making
parts for carriages and hearses." Their amazing history can be found at
