From Bob Jase:
02/12/14 - New Britain -- a male Purple Finch.  I hope this means a
new pair may be forming as I'm used to seeing them in pairs.

From Tina Green:
02/12/14 - Southbury, Purchase Brook Rd / Mitchell Farm -- 2 Iceland
Gulls, Glaucous Gull, 2 White-crowned Sparrows (1 adult, 1 immature).

From Charlie Barnard Jr:
02/12/14 - Bridgeport, Black Rock section, St Mary's By The Sea -- Two
drake Redhead seen at about 3 PM. They were within a raft of about 300
Lesser Scaup. (There was also a raft of about 225 Greater Scaup. The
scaup species stayed in separate rafts for the most part, although
they mingled a bit at times.)

From Timothy L Thompson:
02/12/14 - Groton, Avery Point, Pine Island (as scoped from Avery
Point behind Branford house) -- Snowy Owl perched on tall leaning pole
on western end. Presumably same bird I reported on 12/20/13. Heavily
barred on cap and sides.

From Dan Rottino and Family:
02/12/14 - East Haddam yard -- 2 FOX SPARROW for the 7th consecutive
day.

From Paul Smith:
02/12/14 - New Haven, Quinnipiac River, just south of interstate 91 --
late afternoon -- 4 male Redhead.

From Paul Carrier:
02/12/14 - Harwinton -- 1 female Purple Finch.
Torrington -- saw at least 6 Raven individually, and a pair being
harassed by crows. More about than usual.
