Boat Name Removal

Hello All,

I need to remove the old name from the boat to make room for the new name.
Black paint on white fiberglass gelcote.  It seems to me that I read some
where that using Easy Off oven cleaner works best, but it needs to be
unscented variety.  Do I have the facts straight, and is there anything
special I should know about, about doing this project.  Any & all suggestions
will be greatly appreciated.

Ken;
Use Acetone and a plain scotch bright pad. Get heavy rubber gloves. Wipe
with Acetone then rub a section at a time. See pics attached.
Lots of hard work.
I wouldnt use OVEN OFF because you may harm the finish.
