From Dana Campbell with Don Morgan and the gang:
11/28/14 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park, hawk Watch -- Northern
Goshawk, a flock of 7 EVENING GROSBEAKS (3 Male and 4 Female). Later,
around 2 PM, a flock of 23 SANDHILL CRANES.  After we first saw them
they did form a couple of loose lines before heading a little to the
north and directly across New Haven harbor. I (Don) suspect that's a 1
day record total for CT.

From Mike Berzenski via Mona Cavallero:
11/28/14 - Haddam, Haddam Meadows -- 8:45 AM: relocated the Northern
Shrike.  He said when he first drove in, he saw a bird  chasing a
smaller bird and then that bird teed up in the tree in the field
across from the road leading to the parking lot.  He was able to get
the scope on it and identified it 100% as the shrike. It then flew
away.

From Preston Lust:
11/28/14 - Stratford, Long Beach -- SNOWY OWL seen and photographed.
Stratford, undisclosed location -- RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD continuing.

From Julian Hough:
11/28/14 - Stratford, Lordship Blvd -- Nearly clipped a Rough-legged
Hawk with my car by Sikorsky Airport.

From Doug Beach:
11/28/14 - Simsbury, Simsbury Airport -- 4 Snow Buntings.

From Paul Desjardins:
11/28/14 - Enfield --  Long Tailed Duck seen upriver from the Barnes
boat launch.

From Lea Kessler Shaw:
11/28/14 - Avon, Fisher Meadows -- 2 PM; what I believe is a Greater
White-fronted Goose (among the many Canadas) in the pond.

From Robert Dixon:
11/28/14 - Sterling yard -- FOX SPARROW (3), PINE SISKIN (first at the
feeders this fall), YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (1f).

From Nancy Schumann:
11/28/14 - Stratford, Long Beach -- about 2:30; Snowy Owl three jettys
down from the west (?) end of the long beach parking lot, towards
Bridgeport.

From Lynnette Clemens:
11/28/14 - Old Greenwich, Tods Point -- 6 Snow Bunting.

From Turk Duddy:
11/28/14 - Wallingford -- Greater White-fronted Goose on Northford
Road in a field on the left shortly after entering the road (with
hundreds of Canada Geese).

From Lisa Gagnon:
11/28/14 - Stafford Springs -- Fox Sparrow.

From Lisa Gagnon:
11/27/14 - Stafford Springs, yard -- while cleaning the feeders I
heard some Pine Siskins (not coming to the feeders).  Also Purple
Finches over the last few weeks, not as many as before.

From Tina Green:
11/27/14 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- 100+ American Pipits on the
model airplane field and the circle after the entrance.

From Nick Bonomo:
11/27/14 - New Haven (West Haven), New Haven Harbor --  a drake
REDHEAD in the harbor, closest to West Haven Boat Ramp but scopeable
from Sandy Pt also.

From Carol Zipp:
11/27/14 - Hamden, Backyard -- One Rusty Blackbird, our first of the
season.  Hopefully our usual crowd joins in soon.

From Mark Aronson:
11/27/14 -  Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- 25+ American Pipits
between the marsh and the sparrow lane overflow parking area.  Also
half dozen Pine Siskin fly bys.

From Hank Golet:
11/27/14 - East Lyme, Rocky Neck Marsh -- Imm LITTLE BLUE HERON.

From Frank & Linda Mantlik:
11/27/14 - Stratford, Access Rd -- 1 YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON.

From Maryann Nazarchyk:
11/27/14 - Niantic, Rocky Neck -- Immature Little Blue Heron readily
seen from the car.
