Visitors:
A small showing of visitors for the final day of the Festival of Hawks. One
inquisitive Scout group stopped by. Among the visitors were the following
regulars; Rene Kielbasa, Bob Pettit, Sarah Rupert, and Karen Padbury.

Weather:
Overcast and hazy skies with light Southeast to Southwest winds at 1 to 3
mph.  A light sprinkle around 1400 EST was the extent of the precipitation.
Temps. ranged from 17.5 to 21.5C. Visibility reduced to less than 10 km by
persistent haze.

Raptor Observations:
Not much of a flight today with lousy flying conditions.

Non-raptor Observations:
12 species of waterfowl,

Common Loon- 1 (FOF),

Black-crowned Night-heron- 7,
Bald Eagle- 9 apparent locals (2 ad., 7 imm.),

Shorebirds included Killdeer(16), Lesser Yellowlegs(3), Solitary
Sandpiper(1-2), and and Wilson's Snipe(1).

Chimney Swift- 10,
Ruby-throated Hummingbird- 2,

Eastern Wood-Pewee- 2,
Eastern Phoebe- 3,

Blue Jay- 9,625,

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher- 1,
Gray-cheeked Thrush- 1,

A nice variety of vireos with the following 4 species noted:
Blue-headed Vireo- 3,
YELLOW-THROATED VIREO- 1,
Philadelphia Vireo- 1,
Red-eyed Vireo- 4,

American Pipit- 2,
Cedar Waxwing- 37,

Minimal flight of warblers with a small foraging flock hanging around most
of the day. About 11 species in total.

American Goldfinch- 315,

Other:
Monarch- 40,
few dragonflies today.

Predictions:
Partly to mostly cloudy skies with Southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph. High of
22C. Chance of rain showers around 30%.  Undoubtedly better migration
conditions than today.
