From Frank Mantlik
7/9 Milford Point - while scoping through the terns on the nesting sandbar now at high tide, I looked up to see a ROYAL TERN flying west over the colony. It continued across the river and I think it landed among some gulls at crowded Short Beach, Stratford. Heading there soon.
Mil Pt also has 78 Common Terns, 100's Least Terns, 1 Semipalmated Plover, 3 Semipalmated Sandpiper, and the usual.

From Frank Mantlik
7/9 Stratford, Short Beach - 2 Brant, 1 Laughing Gull, 1 Peregrine Falcon; but no sign of the Royal Tern.
I'm hearing thunder and seeing a dark cloud to the north now.
