Artist Trust is pleased to announce that Washington State artists can now apply for the Artist Trust 2015 Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) through May 18, 2015. A total of $90,000 will be awarded to 61 recipients across Washington State in all artistic disciplines. Each recipient will receive $1,500 for a project they are starting or needing to complete. Funds can be used for a wide range of needs, from art supplies and studio space to installations and research travel. This year, applicants can submit early by May 10th to have their application reviewed for completeness before the deadline. Those who submit early will also have a chance to receive a free Artist Trust membership through a raffle. Thanks to a partnership with Centrum<http://centrum.org/>, one recipient will receive a one-month residency at their Fort Worden State Park facility in Port Townsend, WA and a $500 stipend. Since 1988, GAP has been offered annually by Artist Trust to help emerging and established artists continue their career in the arts and flourish. "This year, the GAP helped me focus on a project close to my heart, and expand it for a wider audience," says Deborah Lawrence, a 2014 GAP recipient.
