09/03/14 - On a boat on LI Sound, mid-Sound, CT waters, off Stratford
Point -- PARASITIC JAEGER leisurely flying west at 1:44 PM.

09/03/14 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- 2 BUFF-BREASTED
SANDPIPERS, 4 AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS, 3 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS and a
PECTORAL SANDPIPER all continue. The Buff-breasted and Golden-Plovers
were showing well close to the road.

09/03/14 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- Whimbrel in field
east of west end parking lot.

09/03/14 -  East Hartford, Cabela's -- 3 American Golden-Plover
roosting on paved area to the west of the pond

09/03/14 - Goshen yard -- first-fall Tennessee Warbler.

09/03/14 - Naugatuck, Naugatuck State Forest, West Block, Field at end
of Hunters Mtn Rd -- 1 Tennessee Warbler.

09/03/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- Several of the good birds
continue this morning. Highlights included Red Knot, Buff-breasted
Sandpiper, 2 Wilson's Phalaropes, Roseate Tern and 6 Forster's Terns.

09/03/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 11:35 AM; Both Wilson's
Phalaropes and the Buff-breasted Sandpiper have now been flushed. No
sign of the Whimbrel.  11:50; Buff-breasted Sandpiper is back.

09/03/14 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- 10:30 AM; 2 BUFF-BREASTED
SANDPIPER, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, 1 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER.

09/03/14 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- morning; 10 warbler species,
best being a Tennessee Warbler.  Also had a Black Billed Cuckoo.

09/03/14 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- Whimbrels
surprisingly continue as of 12 noon. When you enter the parking area
across from the Swan Pond in the west end, the birds are in the grassy
area to the right, close to the road.

09/03/14 - Milford, Milford Point sandbars -- 2 Caspian Terns flying
over and then resting on sandbars, 3 juvenile Red Knots, Peregrine
Falcon among birds on this morning's First Wednesday walk.

09/03/14 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- 2 Whimbrels
continue at 1:15. Right where Sara indicated.

09/03/14 - Southbury, Bent of the River -- Purple Finch at the feeder.
The first of the fall and hopefully a portend of a good finch winter
ahead.

09/03/14 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park -- morning; checked the
area east of the butterfly garden.  It wasn't too busy but we did find
a WILSON'S WARBLER.

09/03/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was
walking the wrack line on the outer harbor side (South) this afternoon
as of 1:37 PM. It was low tide and I saw neither the golden plovers
nor the phalaropes. The terns were visible way out by the outer
breakwaters; that was too far out for me to be able to make any
identifications.

from the 146 side.

PM; also 4 Red Knot.

09/03/14 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park -- Amongst the other birds
we saw at Lighthouse to day was and  extremely early Juvenile Northern
Goshawk. First ones usually show up in  mid-October.

at a small bog on the main trail just west off of Quaddick Town Farm
Road.
