I personally like Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City.  I have  stayed
there on three separate occasions.  At $4 / foot it is  expensive but the
location is ideal.  There is a regular ferry service  from the marina to
Manhattan financial district.  The tour boat to Statue  of Liberty and Ellis
Island leaves from an adjacent dock.  The  view of Manhattan at night is
breathtaking.  Unlike other marinas  in the area, this marina is not exposed to
the wakes from New York Harbor.
