Don't forget Tacoma Art Museum while planning your ArtWalk this Third
Thursday! The museum is free all day and open between 10 am and 8 pm.

Join us in the Open Art Studio beginning at 3:00 pm today to make
calaveras (sugar skulls) for our Dia de los Muertos
http://www.tacomaartmuseum.org/Page.aspx?nid=196  celebration on
November 1, 12-5 pm.

At 6 pm, you can join us in the classroom to create urban pattern prints
with Janet Marcavage in honor of our exhibition Joe Feddersen: Vital
Signs http://www.tacomaartmuseum.org/Page.aspx?nid=271 .

Be sure to come back November 1 for our Free Community Celebration to
decorate calaveras, enjoy dance, music
http://mariachiayutla.com/index.php , art displays, and a procession!

Looking ahead to the weekend, watch as Fulgencio Lazo and fellow artists
create a colorful Tapete
http://www.tacomaartmuseum.org/Page.aspx?nid=196  (sand painting) in
the museum lobby. Local community organizations and groups will install
ofrendas (altars) on the third-floor atrium.
