For at least the past two days, a flock of approximately 35 sandhill cranes has been observed at Laurel Creek Conservation Area in Waterloo. In the early mornings, they have been in the southeast sector, near the dam; they then fly to the southwest. LCCA is reached by taking Northfield Drive West from the Conestoga Parkway (Highway 85). After crossing Westmount Road, the road curves to the left; turn right onto Bearinger Road, and there is a small parking lot near this intersection. - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — Paul A.
